"HEYDAY"
A celebration of the rich heritage of the Western Maryland Railway. With the shortest rail route from the Great Lakes to the Eastern Seaboard, the Western Maryland was known as the "Fast Freight Line." Yet, the railroad also earned a reputation for impeccable operating standards and friendly employees.
"Heyday" depicts WM locomotive number 236 pulling a westbound freight past the railroad station at Union Bridge, Maryland. Recently purchased for restoration and use as a museum, the Union Bridge station recalls all the charm and romance of a bygone era in American railroading. F-7 locomotive 236 currently resides in the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum in Baltimore, Maryland and was recently restored to the "speedlettering" paint scheme depicted in "Heyday."
A limited edition of 1,000 prints, each hand signed and numbered by the artist, are available for purchase. Print size is 18"x24" and free tube shipping to continental U.S. locations is included. To order, send check or money order for $22.50 to:
